"State farm is by far the worst insurance company we have ever dealt with. My wifes policy was transferred twice after Bob King passed away (her original state farm representative) and is now with Brandon. The representative on the customer service line was rude to my wife, and the gentleman I talked to was too full of himself to actually help at all.
The policy somehow was changed from a $100 deductable to a $500 deductible without my wife's knowledge, and she was laughed at and told we would have to pay out of pocket to take her car to a BBB accredited facility.
With the amount of money we pay State farm every year between home owners policy and car insurance, and to be treated the way we have is absolutely unreal."

"We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the claims representative you spoke to on the phone. Prior to your review, the only interaction you had with our office was when you called to file the claim and we transferred you. Claims are handled by a different department, which is separate from our local office, but once we learned of your situation, we personally reached out to your wife and had a supervisor in the claims department reach out within an hour to provide answers. This falls short of the experience we want for our customers, and we apologize for the frustration and any rude interactions you encountered.
I also want to clarify that our office did not change the deductible on your policy; it remains as it was originally written and we do not make changes without the policyholder's authorization.
Please feel free to contact our office directly with any additional questions or concerns, and we are keeping a close eye on your claim to ensure it is handled properly and in a timely manner, and resolved."
